Circular Food Systems Solutions for transformation

Do you want to learn how our current food system functions and what major impact it has on climate change, biodiversity loss and other planetary boundaries? And what is needed to transform our resource intensive system into a circular one? Join our event and listen to experts from the field and founders of promising solutions.

The  increasing consumption of food and feed products has led to increased pressure on natural resources, endangering biodiversity and bringing human health at risk. It has been shown that the linear food system we currently live in is not suited for the 21st century's great challenges and needs an urgent redesign if we are to feed 9 billion people by 2050 without increasing the pressure on life-giving systems.

At the same time, pioneers, scientists, organisations and founders are showing great examples and are paving the way forward to a more sustainable and circular food system.

The goal of today’s event is to give an overview on the actual food system landscape and explore the benefits of a transition to a more regenerative food system by showcasing circular pioneers and food activists. We will discuss solutions that have a positive impact on the environment, how food by-products can be used more effectively and how to make a circular food system possible & more accessible to the broad public.

The event offers a space to network and exchange on current circular practices, challenges, solutions and knowledge.
