This month, Impact Hub Basel, Good Brand Guru, ecos and Ziel Zukunft Biennale are uniting efforts to bring together innovators from the fashion industry seeking to change the way we see, buy, wear and care for fashion through circular business models.
To buy or to lease? To buy products with recycled / recyclable content or not? What to do with the product when we do not need it anymore? Procurement functions wield enormous purchasing power and influences directly the supply chain. Leveraging this power by buying more sustainable products and services can help transform markets in sustainable ways, produce economic, social and environmental benefits.
At work or home, how can our every-day actions contribute to improving a building's overall energy usage? And why should we bother? Currently, the building industry accounts for 40% of global energy use, 30% of energy-related GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions, approximately 12% of water use, and nearly 40% of waste (source: United Nations Environment Program).
