Event Spotlight: Circular Fashion

Dear Community,

Spring is coming, and the long queues in front of recently reopened fashion stores represent people’s apparent need to stock up with the latest fashion for the upcoming season. Is this the changed consumption pattern that we were hoping to see in a post-corona world? According to a newly published study from the IEA, Co2 emissions have rebounded to almost pre-corona levels. Let’s continue to raise awareness!

At our recent event on circularity in the fashion industry in Bern, we talked about revolutionary water and windproof outdoor gear that came hand in hand with plenty of chemicals which end up in nature (rewatch here). At the Fashion Circle Kick-Off event in Zürich, we discussed possible joint-projects to make circular fashion more visible in Switzerland and beyond.

Also in April, we will have circular fashion on our topics list: On April 15, Impact Hub Basel invites you to explore together with 5 circular startups how circular economy concepts can be applied to the fashion industry.

We hope to see you there!

Have a great April, enjoy the sun, and stay healthy!
