Circular Food Systems - Workshop: Get your hands dirty!

  • Rötelterrasse 5 Obere Waidstrasse Zürich, ZH, 8057 Schweiz (map)

With the gardening season starting, there is plenty of beautiful work awaiting in the Zurich community gardens, and with this a great opportunity to learn how to prepare seedbeds, composting, and how to apply circularity in urban food systems.

We are looking forward to a hands-on session in a group of 10-15 persons. What we propose:

9:30: We meet at the Rötelterrasse (where we have the most beautiful view on Zurich and the mountains)

9:45: Short input on Circular food systems applied to an urban community garden - Bloom Garden Team, World Food Systems center Alumni network

10:15: Let's get our hands dirty! In small groups we will work on the seedbeds, explore the compost, plant seedlings with the instruction of our friends from the World food system alumni network

12:15: Potluck brunch - share food, drinks and experiences

Important:

As the spots are very limited, please reserve your ticket and let us know in case you can't make it so we can give your spot to another person.

Please note:

- Don't forget to wear some adapted clothes (warm, dirt-frienly). The rest (tools, hand gloves) will be provided by us.

- Bring some food for the brunch (whatever you like, of course local, bio, self-made always prefered ). Water, garden herbs and bread will be provided by us.

We are looking forward to a great session together!
